<p>Interactive and responsive architecture I feel is really about to take off, because the technology is at a point where it will start to seep into the mainstream. Have a look at these projects above. <a href="http://loop.ph/twiki/bin/view/Loop/WebHome" title="Loop.ph " onclick="javascript:urchinTracker ('/outbound/article/loop.ph');">Loop.ph </a>(via <a href="http://www.inhabitat.com/entry_1299.php" title="inhabitant" onclick="javascript:urchinTracker ('/outbound/article/www.inhabitat.com');">inhabitant</a>). Or this one called <a href="http://www.hgb-leipzig.de/~julius/sphericalrobots/bitfall.php" title="german website" onclick="javascript:urchinTracker ('/outbound/article/www.hgb-leipzig.de');">bitfall </a>(via <a href="http://www.interactivearchitecture.org/" title="interachtive architecture blog" onclick="javascript:urchinTracker ('/outbound/article/www.interactivearchitecture.org');">interactivearchitecture.org</a>) which is really beautiful. Also <a href="http://www.ifmachines.com/eplaid.html" onclick="javascript:urchinTracker ('/outbound/article/www.ifmachines.com');">Electronic Plaid</a> (not shown) from IF machines uses colour changing dyes. Imagine a tapestry on your wall or say the shower in your bathroom on which you may be able to leave messages or check the latest weather report, this carries on from Jason Kottkes idea of <a href="http://www.kottke.org/05/09/smart-toast" title="rss enabled toasters" onclick="javascript:urchinTracker ('/outbound/article/www.kottke.org');">rss enabled toasters</a>.&nbsp; A Website <a href="http://transstudio.com/tm/" onclick="javascript:urchinTracker ('/outbound/article/transstudio.com');">Transmaterial</a> is compiling a list of new materials together and it is definetly worth checking out. <a href="http://www.interactivearchitecture.org/" onclick="javascript:urchinTracker ('/outbound/article/www.interactivearchitecture.org');">Interactive architecture</a> also looks at these but the focus is not on materials but the technology that could empower a new home.</p>
<p>also check my earlier post on <a href="http://www.lewism.org/lewism/2005/08/material_explor.html" >material explorer</a> which will help you find all these new products.</p>

After my earlier translucent concrete post comes textured concrete from concrete blond. A great idea, who would have thought the Victorian Favourite anagypta could be so well updated for the 21st Century! &#38; the waterglass table below by them is really beautifull!
