The first world seed ‘doomsday’ vault opens in Svalbard Norway to protect biodiversity (see previous post). There are about 1500 seed vaults worldwide but this is the only one buried under a polar glacier.

Arctic Cities

I wrote a review of the Arctic Cities exhibition currently on at the Finnish Museum of Architecture in Helsinki over at the Ovi. The exhibition is about three cities in the North, Tromsø in Norway, Kiruna in Sweden which I’ve written about before, and Oulu in Finland. Also I took some photos.
